As of today, the fiscal year officially comes to a close.
To everyone out there wrapping up work, handling closing tasks—seriously, great job. You’ve earned some rest!
Meanwhile, here at Star Road, 2025 is shaping up to be a year full of exciting new releases.
We’ve already introduced our Original Oil and Oil Cooler, but we’ve got another big one scheduled to drop around the end of summer...
And that is…
The Star Road Air Cup System!
For those wondering, “What’s an air cup?” — it’s a super handy system that uses air pressure to temporarily raise your ride height at the push of a button.
If you’re running a lowered car, you know the struggle—scraping on speed bumps, parking lot entrances, or steep driveways.
With air cups installed, you can lift the front of your car in seconds to avoid those annoyances.
The cups stay compressed during regular driving, so you still enjoy that low stance. When a bump or incline shows up, just hit the switch, lift the car, get over it, and lower it back down. It’s not about boosting performance—it’s about protecting your car and making life easier.
The best part? Air cups can be installed on your existing coilovers—no need for a full air suspension setup. That means less hassle, lower cost, and more balance between practicality and style.
This has actually been in the works for years, and we’re finally at the final prototype stage. It’s been a long road... (no pun intended)
So here’s the official Star Road 2025 New Product Release Schedule:
May – Original Oil
July – Oil Cooler
September – Air Cup System
We’re making sure this doesn’t turn into a “Coming Soon… Forever” situation (lol), and every item is being finished to the highest standard we can offer.
March is already coming to an end—can you believe it?
I found myself thinking, *“Wait, is a quarter of the year already over?!”* Time really flies.
As for me, I’ve been completely wrapped up in developing new items day in and day out!
In addition to the oil cooler we’ve already announced, we’ve actually got several other exciting projects in the works.
And today, I’d like to introduce one of them: **Star Road’s Original Oil**!
Naturally, it’s been specially developed for classic cars.
It’s a **fully synthetic 20W-50 oil**, designed with tuned and bored-out vintage engines in mind.
We’ve run real circuit tests under high-stress conditions, aiming to keep oil temperatures in check while ensuring top-notch protection for the engine’s internals.
While it’s perfectly fine for daily driving, this oil is especially recommended for those who *really want to push their car*.
Whether it’s winding mountain roads or long highway runs, this oil is built for serious driving.
The oil itself is already complete—we’re just putting the finishing touches on the packaging design.
We’re aiming for a **May release**, ideally before the summer heat kicks in, so hang tight just a little longer!
We’ll make a proper announcement when it’s ready, so when the time comes, we hope you’ll enjoy hitting the road with this new oil!
Thank You to Everyone Who Came to Nostalgic 2 Days 2025!
A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by! It was an amazing two days, filled with great conversations—not only with our usual friends but also with customers we hadn’t seen in a while. Time flies, and let’s be honest… we’ve all aged a bit!
At the Star Road booth, our T-shirts and hoodies were a big hit! We brought plenty of stock, but even then, we were overwhelmed by how many people picked them up. Truly grateful—thank you so much!
As for the display cars, they were definitely worth checking out! In addition to the Z featuring aluminum body parts from Yahagi Sangyo, which created a buzz at the Auto Salon, we also showcased our Fighter 1 original aero kit with aluminum parts specifically for Nostalgic 2 Days. Plus, the yellow Fighter 2, recently featured in classic car magazines, made its appearance as well!
With Tokyo Auto Salon in January and Nostalgic 2 Days in February, Japan’s two major events have wrapped up successfully! While I’d love to take a short break, we’re already gearing up for international events and the launch of new parts this spring.
Once again, great job to everyone at Nostalgic 2 Days! Looking forward to seeing you all at the next event!
Every February, it’s time for Nostalgic 2 Days at Pacifico Yokohama!
This event is a must for classic car enthusiasts—organized by Geibunsha, the publisher of Nostalgic Hero and Nostalgic Speed, it’s essentially a classic motor show. Of course, Star Road participates every year!
This year, we’ve secured a spacious booth and will be collaborating with FINAL HEAVEN and Sanctuary!
FINAL HEAVEN specializes in restoration parts for classic cars, using 3D scanning to reproduce OEM parts and manufacturing high-quality press parts with American-made molds. We also collaborated on a project in the November 2024 issue of G-Works.
As for Sanctuary, it’s a well-known shop specializing in the Z—though not the Fairlady Z, but the Kawasaki Z1! (laughs)
At Star Road, we’ll be showcasing demo cars as always, along with a full lineup of apparel that was a big hit at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Our popular MA-1 jackets and new T-shirts will be available in full stock!
If we missed each other at the Auto Salon or didn’t get a chance to chat, let’s connect at Nostalgic 2 Days! I’ll be at the venue for both days, so feel free to stop by and say hello!
The title of the book is Vintage Auto Outrun. It’s a WEB-exclusive publication, which makes it a bit rare and quite interesting, don’t you think?
Star Road is featured with articles about "Fighter," "Fighter 2," and even an interview with me! At first, I thought the interview would only take up about one page, but to my surprise, it ended up being four whole pages.
The interview dives deep, covering everything from my early life to the founding of Star Road. It’s so detailed that it almost feels like an autobiography!
To be honest, I did share some pretty intense stories during the interview, but I guess they decided to cut those parts out—probably to avoid any controversy… haha.
Reading it again now, there are a few parts that make me feel a little shy, but if you’re interested, I’d love for you to check it out!

Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 Has Successfully Concluded!
To everyone who visited our booth—those we met for the first time, those who traveled from faraway places, those we reunited with after years, and our loyal supporters who always cheer us on—thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
Your smiles gave us an incredible boost of energy! Truly, we are so grateful. Thank you very much!!
At the Star Road booth this year, we showcased two cars: a blue NEW Z driven by racing driver Akira Iida and a yellow S30Z equipped with aluminum hood, doors, and fenders.
Some of you may have already seen this S30Z in action through the driving videos we shared on Instagram, but this was its first-ever public unveiling!
By the way, the aluminum hood, doors, and fenders were manufactured by Yahagi Sangyo Co., Ltd., a company based in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, with its headquarters and factory there.
So, what kind of company is Yahagi Sangyo? Founded in 1947, they specialize in prototype automotive bodies and have walked alongside the history of Toyota cars, consistently contributing to the creation of future vehicles.
The aluminum parts of the S30Z, crafted by a company with such advanced technical expertise, were undoubtedly a testament to the world-class craftsmanship of "Made in Japan." We hope those who saw it up close could truly feel the incredible quality.
This S30Z project is driven by the desire to pass on the spirit and strength of Japanese manufacturing to the future. We believe that this connects to the future of automobiles and will continue to push forward with that belief in mind.
While we can’t share all the details just yet, stay tuned for upcoming magazine articles and videos that will reveal more about the project. Please look forward to it!
And now that the Auto Salon has wrapped up, our next stop is the Nostalgic 2days event, which will take place on February 22-23 at Pacifico Yokohama!
If we didn’t get the chance to meet at the Auto Salon, we hope to see you in Yokohama. We’ll be waiting for you there!
